![]() ![]() Now you have made Search and Rescue in Wormhole space far harder for newbro players. WH are notorious for people getting lost in them, especially newbros. Ironically, you have doomed Wormholes in another way. If you get annoyed at something, first think out the consequences of your "counter argument" ![]() You guys need to start thinking more carefully before whining about something. Another blow because someone got hot around the collar. Ironically, those filaments gave alot of content for Pochven/Nullsec. Which is probably a much more heavy duty denial of content. That won't work, because players will start to keep eyes on roll holes, and keep log off suitcases in wormholes. Since I don't fly capitals on a regular basis that didn't impact me much. Content on demand!I liked Surgical Strike for the most part, it made combat faster and more exciting IME. That and it's nice to have an excuse to do a little frig fighting.I love filaments, they let me yeet a fleet nigh anywhere in New Eden. This is especially helpful given that they often lead to Shattered systems with precious ice belts. I love frig holes, they add challenge to w space and give me the freedom to move whatever I want (that will fit) through them. This server is actually just full of toxic autists who have never actually experienced what it’s like to be in HOSA and continue to toot their own horn in order to control the meta game. There is a strong, cohesive brotherhood that doesn’t backstab each other, again, like other orgs in the game. Holesale is actually the single best Corp I’ve ever flown in over my nearly 15 years in this game. we don’t shitpost/badpost, don’t say stupid shit, and don’t associate with idiots and blatant RMTers like certain orgs in Jspace. A 30 second spool up would make filamenting as dangerous as safelogging and allow a competent combat prober to warp tackle to a fleet intending to filament in order to create a timer to disallow that fleet to escape. There is a middle ground between filamenting in perfect safety and nuking their use entirely. Removing filaments from wormholes directly removes that content. Sometimes people have a limited playtime and can’t wait for good connections to go on a roam or do event sites like the winter nexus event in LS. ![]() People roam null or access events with filaments. Filaments allow a secondary mass independent extraction method after the fight, putting the fight on still disadvantaged but fairer terms. The visitor has to consider the mass of connections needed to reach the other system and whether there will be enough mass left for them to bring their big expensive fleet back home after the fight. Another big advantage of the home corp is the mass of ships they can bring to the fight. The home corp has a built in advantage in terms of quickly reshipping if their pod is not bubbled or they have an escape frig. Often these brawls will happen in the home system of one the two larger corps. Without the use of filaments the smaller group might not have tried to fight in the first place for fear of being camped in a system and forced to log out for a day or longer.įilaments allow better large brawls between mid to large size wormhole corps. If one group brings an vastly superior fleet in terms of numbers or composition, the other group can use filaments to extract. If two groups are going to fight, each side must have an expectation of the possibility of victory. So if you aren't safe enough to safe log, then you aren't safe enough to filament.įilaments force groups to comp engageably and can lead to more fights. Why? That's the accepted length of the safe log timer. How long should the spool timer be? 30 Seconds. If they can't then you can go about your business. This makes it so you aren't arbitrarily restricted from doing thing in specific spaces, but gives an opportunity for someone to combat probe you down. The superior solution is to give a spool timer on filaments in all spaces. You still don't have to pay the consequences of your poor choices. Players getting lost in WH space can't find the cans with filaments and get out. Instead of yeeting from my WH, I now need to get to k-space, massing all the WHs on the way, then filament. Still no loot for you, but I am out a character until you clear out of the WH. Instead of filamenting out a DST full of loot, or fleet of ships, in an eviction I will just log the loot off in a freighter instead. This does stop roach fleets, but that is about it. The issue is groups, both in WH space and K-space, were using them to avoid PvP. The issue wasn't that filaments worked in WH space. ![]()
